You're probably wondering...
...why this blog hasn't been updated in almost two months. Well, first of all I got lazy over break and didn't make any posts. That much is clear. When I got back to campus, I was so overwhelmed by my new responsibilities at the legal aid office that I didn't have time to post then, either.
Then my appendix tried to kill me. Fortunately, after a week in the hospital and another three weeks of recovery, I'm almost back to normal. I can't even express how great everyone has been as I've gone through this. So many people called and visited, I was really overwhelmed by the support I got. I never realized I had so many friends here. It's a wonderful feeling to know you don't have to go through something like that alone.
Anyways, because of my illness (compounded by my normal base level of procrastination), I'm buried in reading I have to catch up on.
I'll try not to let another two months pass before the next post.

You know what, Mike? I think your appendix was my fault. Seems that the guys I know who end up having their appendices (I think that's the correct pluralization) taken out all have complications of some sort. My fake-husband Brian was attacked by his appendix while he was in Germany last year. Spent a whole month in the hospital. *sigh* Knowing me is bad luck, I tell ya. I'll crawl back into my hole now.
